When I first encountered the word argument, I thought that there must be something contrasting view mentioned in the context. Argument has basically surrounded by the topic which has its own pros and cons. My views on the argument are restricted to the debate which I used to observe in my early childhood days. Argument potentially strikes a mark because we can imagine that people are throwing the ideas to each other in the way of arguing things. In general view argument can perceived as negative whereas in academic field argument has long story to evolve in. Now while reading the chapter on argument, I come to know that this is an attempt to reach and influence an audience. It can be methodical like putting up the thoughts on the audience’s mind to look at the things from different perspective. There are two types of argument: traditional and consensual.
